    The lights come on.

Staff arrive just before 7. First come bathroom breaks, then every room is cleaned.

  4. 9:00 am

    Playtime.

Play starts between 9:00 and 9:30. Staff build each group around the dogs in it, and every boarding dog gets at least 20 to 30 minutes of supervised yard play a day, often more, plus time in their own outdoor run.

Small dogs play in their own grassy yard beside the Lap Dog Lodge.

Big dogs have fenced yards and a 16 × 100 ft indoor arena for bad weather.

Photos and updates

Email info@kelownapetresort.ca and ask how your pet is doing. Staff take photos through the day, but not of every guest every day, so asking is the surest way to get one.

Mr. Roper Memorial Dog Park

Mr. Roper came to the farm at seven, after years as a therapy dog at a seniors lodge in Prince George. He loved daycare, helping with the chicken chores and playing with Norelle and Gillian, and he was gentle with baby chickens, bunnies and every visiting pup. He died in May 2021, at 14.

He loved nothing more than wandering the front field. That field is now a private park you can rent for off-leash time with your own dog.

$20 for 30 minutes, $30 for an hour. Open 7 am to 6 pm daily. Dogs from one household only. Sign the waiver and pay before you go in.
